Speech and Prize Giving Day for Sponsored Pupils

At the end of the school year we held the annual Etatu speech and prize-giving day at the learning banda in Msambweni. We celebrated another successful year for all of our sponsored pupils. The day started with a voluntary beach clean up, which many students attended, followed by speeches from the founder of Etatu and Msambweni village elders before prizes were given out to the hardest working and highest achieving sponsored students. Congratulations to Zabibu in form 1 for winning the prizes for Kiswahili, Sciences and Social Sciences and to Mwanamisi for winning our Exemplary Student award. The guests and students then all enjoyed a lunch of pilau rice, a traditional celebratory dish. Thank you to all those who attended, cooked and gave speeches to the students. Well done to all the prize winners – keep up the good work!
